I feel like sunsets with others are different than the ones you see on your own. I’ve seen my fair share of sunsets and sunrises but there’s something different about the ones where there are others around. Maybe the colors are a little bit more colorful of the indie film vibes start to take over.Something about the way that you get to experience it is different. I still do appreciate a good sunset on my own. I think that they’re a great way to clear my mind and just to get out. But I also want to experience more with others. One of the movies that I think captured it the best was Boyhood. The way that that sunset at the end of the movie wraps it up is perfect. An amazing conclusion to a long movie. Her also captures that final scene mood perfectly. That movie cinematic ending.
Looking back, this trip did have that ending. Watching the sunset at the Marin Headlands was a great conclusion. A great end to a 2400 mile journey. No other point on the whole trip had a sunset like that. The day before did have a mellow sunset with the sun falling behind the horizon but it wasn’t the same. The way the sun touched the horizon concluded the long trip in a way that cant be matched by some other mid trip view.
